Nekundi opens Engoyi-Omuntele road

Works Minister Veiko Nekundi last week commissioned the 16km Engoyi-Omuntele road.
For years, motorists had complained about the poor condition of the route, which frequently damaged vehicles.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nekundi expressed frustration over delays in completing the project and revealed that the cost, initially budgeted at N$46 million, had ballooned to more than N$100 million.
Roads Authority CEO Conrad Lutombi said such delays would not be repeated on future projects.
