Namibia's creative economy on full display through fashion, music and poetry

The Creative, Sport and Tourism (CST) Expo 2026 aims to showcase the breadth of Namibia's creative talent when it takes place at the Hage Geingob Stadium from 2 to 4 September.Organisers expect more than 18 000 visitors over the three-day event, which will bring together creativity, culture and commerce.Ashwyn Mberi, a multidisciplinary creative, executive director of NTV Africa and creative coordinator for the CST Expo, said visitors can look forward to a diverse programme of exhibitions, fashion, poetry and music."You can expect exhibitions, fashion, poetry and music. We want everyone who attends the CST Expo to leave with a well-rounded understanding of what Namibia has to offer creatively, not only as a form of artistic expression but also as a contributor to the creative economy," Mberi said.The creative sector at the expo will provide artists, performers, designers, filmmakers and content creators with an opportunity to connect with new audiences, explore business opportunities and demonstrate the economic potential of Namibia's creative industries.Organisers say the event is intended to support sustainable livelihoods by creating opportunities for networking, collaboration and business development within the creative sector.The CST Expo 2026 will also bring together stakeholders from the sports and tourism industries, highlighting the role of the three sectors in driving economic growth and job creation.Updates and event information are available on the organisers' social media platforms at @creative.sport.tourism.
