Namibia participates in regional security meeting in Tanzania
Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, is leading a delegation to the 27th Ordinary Meeting of the SADC Ministerial Committee of the Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security Cooperation, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 21 to 25 July 2025.
The meeting, chaired by Tanzanian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, focuses on regional peace, governance, and the implementation of past SADC decisions. Namibia’s delegation includes senior officials from defence, police, immigration, and intelligence, underscoring the country’s commitment to promoting stability and democracy in southern Africa.
