Namfisa urges registered medical aid funds members to attend AGM
Namfisa CEO Kenneth Matomola has called on all members of registered medical aid funds to actively participate in the upcoming Annual General Meetings (AGMs), highlighting their critical role in promoting good governance, transparency and long-term sustainability in Namibia’s healthcare financing system.
Matomola stressed that AGMs are not administrative formalities but fundamental governance forums where members can directly influence how their funds are
managed.
He further said the AGM provides a vital platform for members to make their voices heard, scrutinise decisions and ensure the fund is being run in their best interests.
Matomola emphasised that active and informed engagement is essential for maintaining efficient, solvent and member-focused funds, particularly in light of growing healthcare costs and increased operational complexity.
