A suspected drug smuggler fled authorities after a N$5.2 million marijuana consignment was intercepted at the Noordoewer Border Post.

The bust, confirmed by the Namibia Revenue Agency, took place during routine early morning operations on Friday, 10 April, when officials flagged a vehicle during scanning.

Inside, officers discovered 103 one-kilogram packets of marijuana, along with an additional 500g parcel. The total weight and final value of the seizure are still being verified.
