Man (18) accused of child rape

Omusati Police have arrested an 18-year-old man accused of allegedly raping a five-year-old boy last week.

The assault allegedly took place last Sunday at Omaambo village in the Tsandi constituency. The suspect is in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon. "It is alleged that the suspect found the victim at the water pan while the victim was looking for birds," police reported. The suspect allegedly forced the child into his bedroom and raped him. A woman reported the alleged assault to the police.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
