DARK STREETS: The Rundu Town Council met with Nored officials this month over plans to install streetlights in several poorly lit areas across the town to improve safety and visibility.

Speaking to Namibian Sun this week, mayor Andreas Jikerwa said Nored representatives and council officials conducted inspections in May in high-priority areas, including Kasosi, Ndama, Sun City and Satotwa.

Jikerwa said the project aims to improve lighting in residential areas, adding that the Ministry of Mines and Energy confirmed Nored is finalising internal arrangements before installations begin later this month.
