Legal threat looms over Starlink

Despite Cran's rejection of a petition that garnered over 5 500 signatures, the group vying to have Cran reconsider their March decision to deny operating licences and spectrum to Starlink say they are taking the matter into legal consideration. 

"Their decision to not approve the Starlink application will not deter us. The petition remains active and we will continue to attract more signatures, as there is no longer a deadline," the founder of the petition, Reinhardt Küsters, said.

Küsters added that the authority's decision to give the necessary regulatory allowances to OneWeb operators has, according to him, not been transparently shared with the public.
