Kunene education officials attend training in Okahandja
The Kunene regional education directorate on Friday concluded a week-long training programme in Okahandja attended by 110 participants, including heads of departments, senior education officers, chief education officers, inspectors and human resources officials.
Kunene education director Sophia Ferdrieck said the training focused on strengthening leadership and management skills, monitoring the implementation of the national curriculum for basic education and enhancing understanding of key policies, directives and guidelines.
Participants also received training on the integrated school health programme, school counselling and referral processes, target setting and strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Ferdrieck said the programme further covered industrial relations and financial management to improve school and departmental administration.
