Kavango West pedestrian (60) dies in road accident

A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old man on Sunday night.
Kavango West Police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga said the incident occurred at around 20:00 along the B10 road near Halili village.
It is alleged that a licensed driver, travelling from Nkurenkuru to Rundu in a sedan, fatally struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian, identified as Nzamene Situmbi, was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
A case of culpable homicide and reckless and/or negligent driving has been opened.
