Kamanya heads to Miss World

Namibia's representative at the 72nd Miss World pageant, Selma Kamanya, departed for India on Monday, where she will participate in the beauty contest that is taking place on the 31 May in Hyderabad.
At a send-off event on Saturday night, Kamanya revealed the national costume she will wear, inspired by the radiant beauty and rhythm of the Namibian sun.
The national costume is titled 'Sunrise and Sunset: A Dance of Light and Grace'.
The designers explained that the costume blends traditional Himba and Oshiwambo influences with storytelling through movement, rooted in Namibian heritage.
