Henties man dies after stabbing during family dispute
A 25-year-old man, Vaughn Ethan Sheldon, died on Friday after being stabbed in the neck during a family altercation in Omdel, Henties Bay.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred around 23:20 at Hendrick Witbooi Street. It is alleged that the deceased had assaulted his mother with an unknown object on the forehead. In an attempt to defend their mother, the suspect, a 32-year-old Namibian female and the deceased’s sibling, reportedly stabbed him with a knife.
Sheldon succumbed to his injuries at Swakopmund State Hospital. His next of kin have been informed. The suspect has been arrested, and police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
