Hambyuka engages communities over river crossing for learners
Kavango East governor Hamunyera Hambyuka, accompanied by Angolan consul in Rundu Oliveira Guilherme, visited Mushangara village in Divundu yesterday to assess and explore solutions for children who cross the Kavango River daily by canoe to attend Kake Primary School and access essential services on the other side.
The delegation is also expected to visit the Divundu Correctional Service facility, where the governor will engage inmates on rehabilitation and community reintegration.
During his visit to the Mushagara border post near Divundu, the governor questioned the absence of immigration and NamRA officials, warning that this weakens border control and allows unchecked cross-border movement.
