Girlfriend murder suspect arrested
Kavango West police have arrested a 32-year-old man who was on the run after he allegedly murdered his wife, Martha Ndara (33), on Saturday.
Police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga told Namibian Sun that the suspect, believed to be Ndara's boyfriend, is expected to appear at the Rundu Magistrate's Court on 12 June.
The suspect assaulted Ndara with an unknown object on the face and back of the head, resulting in her sustaining fatal injuries.
Police say the assault happened when the two were returning from the cuca shops.
Ndara died at the scene in Maporeza village and the suspect has been on the run until yesterday.
