Girl (11) allegedly raped by neighbour

Police are investigating the alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl at Omuthitugonyama village in the Okalongo constituency of the Omusati region.

According to the police incident report, the alleged offence occurred at around 07:00 on Friday, 26 June.

It is alleged that a man from the same village, who is a neighbour to the alleged victim, followed her, forced her behind a kitchen hut and allegedly raped her.

The incident was reported to police by the child’s aunt. Police yesterday confirmed that the suspect has been identified but has not yet been arrested.
