A Windhoek resident, Jafet Mwateuvi, who recently sued Premiere Sports Trading Betting (PstBet) over nearly N$293 000 in alleged unpaid winnings and accused the company of operating without a valid gaming licence, says the matter has been fully and amicably resolved.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Mwateuvi said the dispute arose from a misunderstanding over betting rules, odds and technical errors.

He confirmed that all issues between him and PST Bet have been settled in good faith and that there are no outstanding concerns.

In his lawsuit, Mwateuvi said he placed several online bets on 9 and 10 April, during which he reportedly won N$201 087 and N$93 834, respectively.

According to court documents, the betting company allegedly confirmed Mwateuvi’s winnings, facilitated a cash withdrawal of N$1 500, and reflected a transfer of N$292 500 into his betting account.

However, he alleged the funds later disappeared and new bets appeared on his account, transactions Mwateuvi claimed he never made.
