Five men arrested in failed Katutura robbery

An attempted robbery took place yesterday morning at Big Deal Super Liquor Cash and Carry in the Monte Christo area. According to police at the scene, five suspects were arrested after being confronted during the incident. The suspects were reportedly armed with firearms.
Among those arrested is a man previously accused in the 2023 murder of Patrick Hawala Hamupunda – also known as 'Waka' – who was stabbed and shot to death at a residence in Katutura.
