Diamond company hands over staff shareholding contributions

Andre Messika Diamonds handed over a shareholding contribution to the Employees’ Share Participation Trust in Windhoek yesterday. With a workforce of 71 employees, 90% of whom are Namibian, the staff are now recognised as shareholders and co-owners, collectively holding 25% in Andre Messika Diamonds through the Trust. A portion of these employees are persons living with disabilities, including individuals who are deaf and those who use a wheelchair, making Andre Messika Diamonds one of the largest private employers of people living with disabilities in Namibia. The shareholding contribution is valued at N$180 000.
