Community spirit shines in Okahandja clean-up
The Okahandja municipality, in partnership with NamWater, held a clean-up campaign on Saturday, themed ‘Clean Okahandja, Proud Community’.
Okahandja mayor Ilena Mutumbulwa emphasised that the campaign reflects the spirit of unity and shared responsibility.
She noted that maintaining a clean environment is vital not only for the health and wellbeing of residents, but also for the dignity, pride and sustainable development of the town.
“When we work together to keep our surroundings clean, we create a safer, healthier and more welcoming environment for everyone who lives in and visits Okahandja,” she said.
Elten Charles Cloete of NamWater joined more than 200 NamWater Vocational Training Centre students to assist with the campaign.
He urged residents to take pride in their surroundings and work together to keep the town clean.
