Car plunges into sinkhole in Rundu

A bakkie crashed into an eroded sinkhole in the Tutugeni residential area in Rundu yesterday morning after the driver reportedly lost control while reversing from a nearby building.

Traffic officials at the scene said the car veered off the road and ended up in a ditch caused by severe ground erosion in the area.

The driver was treated for shock by ambulance personnel and is reported to be in a stable condition.
