Campaign to restore vision
Hundreds of patients from the Kavango East and Kavango West regions are set to benefit from a cataract surgery campaign currently underway at Rundu Intermediate Hospital, aimed at tackling one of the leading causes of preventable blindness.
The campaign, which runs until 12 June under the theme 'Restoring Hope and Freedom', had already seen more than 200 cataract surgeries performed by Monday. The ophthalmic team is targeting approximately 450 patients by the end of the initiative.
