Bouncer allegedly shot over N$30 fee
Asser Nendongo (pictured) appeared in the Katutura Magistrate’s Court yesterday on a charge of murder after allegedly shooting Windhoek bouncer David Mbinda, 39, during a dispute over a N$30 entrance fee at a local hangout in Wanaheda last Friday.
Nendongo, 30, is represented by private lawyer Gehas Katoma, standing in for Kadhila Amoomo.
The matter was remanded to 18 March for a formal bail application and to 21 May for further police investigations.
According to police reports, Mbinda (39) and Nendongo (30) became involved in a confrontation after Nendongo allegedly refused to pay the entrance fee.
The altercation reportedly turned physical, during which Nendongo allegedly fired a single shot at Mbinda’s face.
