Activist criticises Windhoek for handling of Groot Aub

Activist Shaun Gariseb has criticised the City of Windhoek’s management of Groot Aub, citing what he says is a lack of financial and strategic capacity to develop informal settlements.
He met residents on Saturday at a community meeting aimed at raising awareness of the National Youth Development Fund and addressing long-standing settlement challenges.
Residents called for Groot Aub to be established as a village council.
