A quiet act of kindness for 220 Rundu inmates
An anonymous donor has gifted toilet paper, essential toiletries and sugar for 220 inmates at Rundu Police Station. Each inmate will receive a package of essential hygiene items, while the sugar will be used for tea and coffee. According to Rundu Police station commander, Hermine Muranda, the donation forms part of ongoing community support. She added that the owner of Galaxy Mall (known as the Old Mall) has also provided a unit in the mall to help decentralise police services after observing long queues at the station. Muranda praised the community for its continued support, noting that such contributions strengthen cooperation with law enforcement and improve service delivery.
