THANKSGIVING TRIBUTE - FROM THE FAMILY OF Ms. JOPLIN !GONTES
I, Abuti, Mister, former Hydrologist and former Elder of /Khomdare Evangelical Lutheran Church of Uis, eldest living brother of siblings, Mr. Tsamaseb Romalius Seun, together with my brothers and sisters, give thanks to the Lord for the life and dignitary burial of our beloved Sister, Ousii, Mother, and Comrade, Ms. Joplin !Gontes.
We acknowledge with deep appreciation the attendance of national leaders, including the President, Minister Shaningwa, and the former First Lady, whose presence even at the graveyard touched us greatly. All other dignitaries, pastors, and mourners present are also sincerely acknowledged.
We are grateful to the Hardap community and to all who came from Khomas, Erongo, Otjozondjupa, and other regions for their full presence.
We also remember and visited the graves of our late father, Jefta Noabeb, a musician of the well‑known Namibian band Ugly Creatures, whose music reached audiences in Namibia and abroad, and our late eldest brother, Pastor Tsamaseb Jerrow, a celebrated musician whose music still lives on through anniversaries. Both were laid to rest with dignity at the same graveyard.
As brothers and sisters, we commit ourselves to follow in their footsteps of unity, care, and service.
May our sister’s soul rest in eternal peace
