SHORT NEWS: Deliver or face consequences – Nandi-Ndaitwah
President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has warned newly elected regional and local authority councillors that failure to deliver visible service will attract firm action from party leadership.
Addressing the opening of Swapo’s central committee meeting on Saturday, Nandi-Ndaitwah said electoral victory must immediately translate into hard work and accountability. She said the party will not hesitate to act appropriately to ensure service delivery. She stressed that leaders were elected to serve, not to enjoy titles, urging integrity, humility and teamwork. She added that progress must be felt in housing, land delivery, jobs, youth empowerment, education and health. Nandi-Ndaitwah said Swapo’s control of 13 regions, including reclaimed opposition-held areas, reflected continued public trust.
