Kunene village calls for basic services during EIF visit
Petrusfontein residents called for basic services and infrastructure during an Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) oversight visit in the Kunene region yesterday.
Community member Tangeni Iijambo told Namibian Sun that the village needs a kindergarten, clinic and better access roads. “A kindergarten can at least be provided for the young ones… and a clinic, because sanitation is not a privilege,” he said. Iijambo also proposed a conservancy to generate income, noting that wildlife has returned since water became available, while flooding leaves residents stranded for weeks.
