Winter Warmers
WINTER WARMERS: On 21 June, the day before the longest night of the year – the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere – 20 dedicated volunteers from Capricorn Group, known as the ChangeMakers, gathered at the Family of Hope Services in Havana, Windhoek, to spread warmth, joy, and compassion.
As part of their 'Winter Warmers' initiative, Capricorn employees spent the day serving steaming cups of homemade soup to the children and staff at this vital community hub.
Arriving mid-morning, the ChangeMakers offered more than just a comforting meal; they also shared friendship, laughter and connection.
This act of service forms part of Capricorn Group’s broader culture of employee volunteerism, which empowers staff to live out the values of being 'Connectors of Positive Change'.
“These moments matter,” said one volunteer. “It’s not just about soup, it’s about letting these kids know someone cares.”
