Namibian brands Enjoy Travel and Tourismus, part of the Emeraldsand Platforms Group (ESP), strengthened their international presence by attending the 60th edition of ITB Berlin 2026, held from 3 to 5 March.

The world’s leading travel trade show brought together more than 5 000 exhibitors from 158 countries, creating a dynamic platform for global tourism stakeholders to connect and explore emerging industry trends.

This year, Angola was featured as the official host country, highlighting Africa’s growing role in the global tourism landscape.

Namibia had a strong presence at the annual tourism event, with 23 exhibitors showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings.

Against this backdrop, Enjoy Travel and Tourismus attended ITB with the aim of positioning their brands on a broader global scale.

Representing the two brands, Carli Abrantes and Frank Steffen met with numerous existing and potential clients, engaging with a wide network of prospective partners, particularly across Africa and Europe.

Insights gained at ITB highlighted key global trends shaping the future of tourism.

According to Steffen, there is an increasing emphasis on sustainability and authentic experiences, with travellers seeking deeper connections to cultures and communities. The strong link between tourism, culture and the arts was also evident – an area that aligns closely with the vision of Emeraldsand Platforms Group.

Their participation at ITB Berlin not only provided valuable industry insights but also reinforced the importance of international collaboration in driving the growth and visibility of Namibian tourism brands on the global stage.
