RA closes roads in Kharas after heavy rainfall

The Roads Authority (RA) has announced temporary closures on several roads in the Kharas Region following heavy rainfall and flooding. In a press statement issued yesterday, RA urged motorists to exercise caution and use alternative routes while travelling. District Road 1077, from Keinachas to DR1075 in Asab, can be accessed via Main Road 32 through Gibeon and District Road 1089, or via Main Road 98 from Tses to Berseba and District Road 0554. North of Gibeon, District Road 1088 is closed, with MR32 and DR1089 recommended as alternatives. Main Road 25, between Karasburg and Aroab from kilometre 50 to 70, should be accessed via Trunk Road T0301 to Grünau and then MR26 to Aroab.
