Better exist

Not in the dramatic way people sometimes make survival sound. Just… exist well enough to stay here. Some days that is the most radical thing you can do.

Start with the simple things. Drink your water. It sounds small, almost trivial when life feels heavy, but the body keeps score. Hydration is care. It steadies your system, clears your mind a little, reminds your body that someone is looking after it and that someone is you.

Move your body. Not to punish it. Not to chase perfection or some version of yourself that lives on a screen. Move because the body stores what the mind cannot process. Anger settles in the shoulders. Disappointment sits in the chest. Stress hides in the hips and back. A walk, a run, lifting weights, stretching on the floor with music playing. Movement shifts the energy. It reminds your nervous system that you are not stuck.

And sometimes healing looks very unspiritual.

Sometimes it looks like sitting down and writing letters you will never send. The honest ones. The “F U” letters. The pages where you say everything you swallowed in the moment. The anger, the hurt, the frustration. Put it on paper so it stops living inside your body. You are allowed to release things that were never yours to carry forever.

Because the truth is, better exists.

A better job exists. Better opportunities exist. Better friends exist. People who meet you with the same honesty and respect you give. A better environment exists. A better version of you exists too, not a perfect version, just a more healed, more grounded, more peaceful one.

And reaching that version is not about never being satisfied. It is about refusing to settle in places that shrink you.

It is about understanding that growth is a choice. Healing is a choice. Showing up for yourself is a choice.

Drink your water. Move your body. Write the letters. Take care of your mind. Take care of your life.

Better exists.

And it is up to us to keep becoming it.
