Okongo 4x4 boosts local trade

Kapana vendors at Okongo’s open market gained new customers on Saturday when a 4x4 adventure brought 65 registered participants and more than 300 spectators to the town. Joyce Ueitele of the Okongo Village Council said the Omaludi 4x4 Adventure was designed to promote the town and create business opportunities. As part of the event, participants visited the Okongo Open Market, where they met kapana vendors and other informal traders. “The event also gave the council an opportunity to introduce visitors to investment and business opportunities in Okongo,” Ueitele said.
