FNB boosts Windhoek’s smart policing with CCTV donation
First National Bank Namibia officially handed over CCTV equipment valued at N$569 202 to the City of Windhoek this week in support of its smart policing strategy.
“For us, this is about more than infrastructure; it is about enabling a safer environment where residents, businesses and visitors can operate with confidence,” FNB Namibia chief operating officer Rodney Forbes said.
The equipment includes ten dual-lens panoramic and PTZ cameras designed to provide both wide-area coverage and detailed monitoring in large outdoor spaces; 10 Hikvision vertical pole mounts; and 21 automatic number plate recognition cameras equipped with advanced AI technology.
