BREAKING NEWS: Teen arrested over alleged rape of 15-year-old girl

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in the Onesi constituency, Omusati region.


Omusati police regional commander Commissioner Ismael Basson confirmed the incident and said it occurred at around 01:00 on Sunday, 4 October.


Basson said the suspect allegedly entered the room where the girl was sleeping and raped her.


Police described the case as involving domestic violence but did not disclose the relationship between the suspect and the child.


The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court today.


Police investigations continue.
