Young Brazilians to face BA in friendly
Namibia Premier League (NPL) rookies, Young Brazilians from Karasburg, have lined up a friendly match against Black Africa this coming weekend in Keetmanshoop, as part of their pre-season preparations.
The match will be played at 16:00 on Saturday at the J. Stephanus Stadium and will be preceded by a curtain-raiser between Young Beauties and Lovely Super Stars. Young Brazilians team manager Kulus Simboya said //Karas residents are excited about the friendly match.
“One can see the excitement on people's faces and the frequent enquiries about the match show that the //Karas people have been starved of top-level football. I am sure the stadium will be filled to rafters,” she said. Simboya added the players are fired-up to face one of the biggest teams in Namibian football.
“The players are raring to go and are excited to face one of the big guns. This friendly is very important for us, as it gives us time to do our final preparations and get an indication of what we can expect when facing the big teams in the NPL,” she said.
Simboya added although Young Brazilians will play their home matches in Karasburg, they have agreed to meet Black Africa halfway by going to Keetmanshoop.
Former Black Africa players Bryan Bantam and Mitchell Mettler will try to outfox their former employer, while former Unam player Wayne Esterhuizen has also swapped his old club for the Dakaza Boys (Young Brazilians).
