Karasburg's Young Brazilians were promoted to the Namibia Premier League (NPL) on Saturday, after beating Swakopmund's PC Blue Boys 3-1 in the second leg of the Southern Stream First Division playoffs in Karasburg.
Last weekend the teams drew the first leg at the coast and one team needed to win in order to enter the NPL fray.
“This is the fifth time we played in the playoffs and we wanted to win. This is a dream come true for us. The players will be prepared for the NPL. Our mission is to stay in the league; we do not want to be one hit wonders.
“The spirit in the team is great and the players are fit. Every year we want to step up. We are ready for the big guns like African Stars, Orlando Pirates and Black Africa. We want to compete but also to learn from them,” said Young Brazilians coach Tolla Julius.
