Woman gang-raped by boyfriend, cousin

A 30-year-old woman was gang-raped, assaulted and threatened by her boyfriend (30) and his cousin (28) on Friday at Karibib.
When the woman and her boyfriend arrived at home on Friday, they were allegedly under the influence of alcohol, and the woman fell asleep.
Her boyfriend then reportedly invited his cousin over, and both took turns raping her.
While the cousin was raping her, the boyfriend watched, and the victim woke. The woman screamed, leading to the cousin fleeing the scene naked. When the woman said she would report the matter to the police, her boyfriend threatened to kill her with a spear, which he then threw it at her, but missed.
He later stabbed her with the spear in her right buttock, and she sustained an open wound. Both suspects were arrested.
Minor girls raped
In a separate incident at Usakos, two girls, aged seven and eight, were raped by a 53-year-old man at the Namanpos farming area. The incident occurred on 18 July.
The suspect, who has been arrested, went to collect firewood with the victims and allegedly raped them.
Rape, assault, murder
On Friday at Keetmanshoop, a 20-year-old woman was raped by a suspect who is known, but has not been arrested.
Meanwhile at Okongo, a 23-year-old man shot his 29-year-old wife with an arrow on Friday.
She was shot in the thigh. She was transferred to the Onandjokwe hospital in a stable condition. The suspect was arrested.
At a farm in the Gobabis district, a 37-year-old woman was killed by her 37-year-old husband during a scuffle over a knife she was allegedly threatening him with on Friday.
The incident occurred at Farm Kroonster, when the husband arrived home from another farm.
His wife, who was apparently under the influence of homebrewed liquor, came out with a knife in her hand when she saw her husband approaching their dwelling.
When he tried to take the knife from her, she pulled on his collar, and in the process, she was fatally stabbed in her upper chest.
Explosion
In another incident, a 50-year-old woman was killed in an explosion at Gochas on Friday.
The incident occurred at approximately 18:00 at /Gomxab-naus location at a company previously known as Landsberg Drilling and Blasting. A large stone from the blast travelled through the air for almost 700 metres and struck the woman on her head while she was sitting in front of her house, killing her instantly.
Woman found dead
In a separate incident at Aussenkehr, a 39-year-old woman was found dead on Saturday at her house after she complained about not feeling well the previous day.
Her sister found her on her bed. The woman, who is a health extension worker at the Aussenkehr clinic, was released from duty on Friday, after she complained that she was not feeling well.
