A 26-year-old woman died yesterday morning when her 29-year-old boyfriend assaulted her with a metal hammer.

According to the police, the woman, who was employed at Hangana Seafood Factory, came home from work that morning and found her boyfriend at home.

It is alleged that he started arguing with her and accused her of having an affair with another man. He apparently pushed her out of the room, while she refused to go.

He then apparently started punching her in the face and assaulted her with a hammer, hitting her on the head. She then allegedly fell on the floor and died instantly.

He then left her body in the room and handed himself over at the Narraville Police Station, and was arrested.

The woman’s body was taken to the Walvis Bay State Hospital mortuary for further handling.
