Welwitschias seek revenge against Pumas
Namibia plays its last SuperSport Rugby Challenge game for the season tonight, before moving to the Currie Cup competition.
The Windhoek Draught Welwitschias are out for vengeance against the Pumas, when the two sides meet for the last time this season in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge.
The game will be played at the Sasol Rugby Club in Secunda tonight.
The last time the two teams met in March, the Pumas defeated the Namibian team 54-12 at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium.
The Namibian team will therefore attempt to avenge their defeat when they meet the South African side.
The match will serve as a consolation for the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias who are already out of the SuperSport Rugby Challenge, with one match to play.
Namibia only managed to win one game in the competition, when they defeated Hino Valke 34-24 last month in South Africa.
The win was, however, not enough to secure a place in the next round and they will now have to play in the Currie Cup competition.
Pumas Centre Wayno Visagie, who previously started from the bench, will get his first run in the starting XV, while Boeta Vermaak gets his first start on the left wing.
Fullback Barend Smit has an opportunity to make an impact from the bench.
Stalwarts Brian Shabangu, Hilton Lobberts, Simon Wesraadt and Reynier van Rooyen have been recalled to add some experience.
