081Every1 Hope Concert Postponed
Namibian music and gospel enthusiasts will have to keep safe and wait a little longer for the much-anticipated MTC 081Every1 Hope Concert, which MTC has postponed to 4 September 2021.
The concert, which befits the trying times the nation faces – from Covid-19 to the loss of jobs and the undeniable psychological impact on the world - was scheduled for 2 July but had to be postponed for better days amidst the ongoing scourge of the virus.
“The postponement is necessitated by various factors that are both Covid-19 related and logistical. However, we would like to assure the nation that the concert will take place as it is meant to give the country hope,” said MTC's Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs, Tim Ekandjo.
The gospel concept line-up remains as announced at the launch, with 17 performances by both Namibian and South African gospel singers. The stage will be graced by personalities that will demonstrate that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Faith musical ambassadors like Vuuyo, Pride, Franklin and Dee’A, Rodney Seibeb, Maranatha, Joharetha, Elizabeth, Manda Gabriel, Effy-Otjimbundu, Ayanda Ntanzi, Benjamin Dube, Buci Radebe and the Nam Gospel United will feature on the line-up.

Over the weekend, the Maranatha Awards Global – a USA programme seeking to acknowledge effective kingdom diplomacy globally – announced Namibia’s gospel heavyweights Lady Dynah and D-Naff as part of their 2021 nominees. Lady Dynah is nominated for Female Minister of The Year, while D-Naff scored Male Minister of The Year, Best Motivational Speaker and Best Inspirational Leader/ Mentor. Voting lines are open on Maranatha Awards official website.
