The Namibians led by interim head coach Bobby Samaria only had about four weeks to pull a team together, having called up a 35-man training squad after a long period without any league or national action for the players due to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as local football infighting. SA better sideThe South Africans, on the other hand, resumed with Premier Soccer League action in August and managed to finish their league.
