Vries remains optimistic
It appears as if Namibian international goalkeeper Virgil Vries is at risk of losing his place in Kaizer Chiefs' first eleven after the club signed a new keeper.

Namibian goalkeeper Virgil Vries says he will try his best to avoid repeating the mistakes he has made in the Kaizer Chiefs jersey this season.
The player has been criticised in social media for making mistakes that cost his club a few points.
His last mistake came in a match against Cape Town City which saw the 'Glamour Boys' going a goal down against their Cape Town rivals at the FNB Stadium.
“It is not something to be proud of but as a player mistakes do happen and I am not going to let that get me down.
“I will just give it all to God and also dedicate myself to working hard in training.
“There is always a time in a player's career where things do not go your way but one always has to keep pushing for perfection,” Vries said.
Sources close to the club have speculated that the Chiefs goalkeeper is on the verge of sliding down the pecking order following his miserable displays in goal.
It is no secret that the Kaizer Chiefs coaching staff has had enough of Vries's mistakes after they opted to sign a new goalkeeper.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has grown increasingly frustrated with Vries.
This has resulted in Chiefs signing Nigerian international goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi.
Their first-choice goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, is still nursing an injury and is not expected to return anytime soon.
Born at Keetmanshoop, Vries joined Golden Arrows in 2011 from Namibian side Eleven Arrows, signing a three-year contract.
A November 2011 blunder against Amazulu gained worldwide attention, making life difficult for the player.
In January 2012 he was loaned to second-division side Carara Kicks.
Later in 2012, he signed a short-term contract with Orlando Pirates in the Namibian Premier League.
In January 2013 he went to Maritzburg United in the South African Premier Soccer League.
He made 27 appearances for the club and kept a clean sheet in eight games while conceding 23 goals in the others before signing for Kaizer Chiefs last year.
