For many years, music promoter AB Pro has dedicated his time to searching for new artists and introducing them to the rest of the country. It is that same spirit of dedication that has birthed ViralCom, a platform that lets fans download music for just N$3.

AB Pro describes ViralCom as a solution for Namibian artists and music fans. “We are a marketing agency focused on tailor-making solutions for Namibian artists. Our mission is to make sure that our local artists make a living off their talents,” he told tjil.
On how artists can get their music on this platform, AB Pro said that musicians can email their songs to [email protected] and his office will revert with a contract.
He added that there is a N$250 facilitation fee. “The platforms charges N$3 per song of which the artist gets N$1. With Namibian artists averaging 20 000 to 100 000 views on YouTube, we can turn those views into dollars with ViralCom,” he said. .
AB Pro called on corporate entities to get on board to support the initiative, saying that right now ViralCom is a small team, but he believes it will change the game. “We are not just selling songs. We are looking at coming up with campaigns for artists to run on our platform. Hence, corporate backing will enable us to unlock the many ideas we wish to execute.”
The formal launch will soon be finalised, he added.
“We are already in business; the official launch will just be a celebration of making this platform a reality.”
