Ultimate or bust

Ultimate, also and originally known as Ultimate Frisbee, is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc (frisbee). It’s an exciting, no-contact team sport played by thousands all over the world in Open, Mixed and Women’s teams. Ultimate is a fast-paced game, demanding its players to develop razor sharp throwing skills and immense stamina and agility. Ultimate is officially played 7 vs 7 and can also for practical reason be played in accordance with the available number of players.

Windhuckers Ultimate, the first ultimate club was formed in 2012 by few friends who could not play any other sports, and realised the need to introduce Ultimate to Namibia, starting with Windhoek. The club grew over the year and has had to change playing venues. Club started playing at Unam (2012-2017), Eros primary school (2014), Windhoek Gymnasium (2018) and to the current venue; Wanderers Sport Club (2019- current).

Windhuckers Ultimate invite all those that are passionate about Ultimate and those that like to try out new sports to come and join every Sunday at wanderers sport club. All amenities and equipment will be provided just put on your favourite sport wears. Introduction to the sport and Ultimate rules will be explained by the instructor, who is always happy to meet new players. Training start at 3:30, and a competitive game start at 4:30. Bring along family member and invite friends to have a great weekend sport “Ultimate” action.
