The settlement of Tsaka near Gobabis will be the centre of attraction for horseracing enthusiasts on Saturday.

Following the competition that took place at Rehoboth earlier this month, it is now up to the Aminuis horseracing fraternity to entertain the fans with exciting races.

Famous horses like Visigoth and Starlile are expected to kick up dust and lead from the front in what is set to be a historic event.

“It is going to be very lit and I can confirm to you that everything is in place and the horses are ready to compete.

“We will ensure that there are stalls for people who want to buy drinks and food.

“The good thing about this event is that the horses are now in even better shape than they were in Rehoboth,” says Uakaeta Tjiramba of the Aminuis Horseracing Club.

Safety first

The news that President Hage Geingob has eased some of the Covid-19 regulations has come at a good time for the racing club, given that 200 people are now allowed at a gathering.

Tjiramba assured that the health and safety of the spectators will come first.

“There will be sanitation stations at entry points and inside the horseracing area to make sure that everyone is sanitised.

“People's names will also be taken in order to keep records.

“The safety and security will be tight to avoid any troublemakers from getting away with anything,” Tjiramba added.
