Three minors hit, burn toddler
According to the police, the toddler's mother left her with the three minors, and upon her return, she found her child with injuries, bruises and burns.

Three minors aged between 9 and 11 beat a two-year-old toddler with sticks and burned her with fire, resulting in her death at Okongo in the Okakango village last week.
According to the police, the incident happened between Monday and Wednesday.
It is alleged that the three minor children beat the child with sticks all over her face, head, stomach and vagina.
They further used fire to burn her legs, which resulted in her death.
This happened when the toddler's 25-year-old mother left her daughter in the same house with the minors on two occasions and upon her return found her child with injuries, bruises and burns.
According to the police, she neglected her child by not taking her to the hospital and eventually she succumbed to her injuries.
No arrests have been made pending further investigations. Arrangements have been made with a social worker for the three minors to receive counselling.
Woman set on fire
In another incident, a 34-year-old woman set her 24-year-old niece on fire on Saturday in Wanaheda after accusing her of having an affair with her husband.
It is alleged that during a confrontation, the suspect poured methylated spirits on her niece and set her on fire. The suspect was arrested.
The victim sustained serious burns on her face, legs and upper part of her body. She was admitted to the Katutura State Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
In Rehoboth, a 35-year-old man hanged himself with a T-shirt in the police wating cells on Saturday after assaulting police officers when they attended to a domestic violence report.
According to the police, the man was detained for assaulting a member of the Namibian police while executing his duties and tearing the uniform of a constable who attended to a domestic violence report in Block-E.
The initial case of a 31-year-old woman, who was the victim of the domestic violence, was yet to be opened, as she went home to fetch a protection order previously issued against the deceased suspect.
Minors raped
Meanwhile at Onayena in the Onkumbula village, a 10-year-old girl was raped by a 35-year-old man on Saturday.
It is alleged that the man entered the girl’s room, found her sleeping and raped her. The girl reported it to her aunt and the police were notified. The suspect has been arrested.
At the Okiimbi village, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 27-year-old suspect on Saturday.
According to the police, the suspect found four minors walking to school and called the girl, pretending to have fish for a staff member at the school.
He pulled the girl inside his house and into his bedroom. The suspect pushed the girl onto the bed, removed her clothes and raped her. He threatened to beat the girl if she screamed or reported the matter to the police. The suspect has been arrested.
In another incident on Saturday at Outjo, a 12-year-old girl was raped by an 18-year-old man in the bushes between Saamstaan and ‡Oabatere locations.
It is alleged that the girl went to buy ice at the suspect’s house and on her way out, he pulled her by the arm, saying she must help him. He allegedly pulled off her clothes and raped her.
The suspect has been arrested.
Women raped
In a separate incident, a 23-year-old woman was raped on Wednesday in Mondesa by an unknown man.
According to the police, the woman, who was coming from work, asked for a lift from the suspect. He was driving a bakkie and apparently drove with her to a dumping site, where he raped her.
The suspect has not been arrested yet.
Furthermore, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man on Friday in Mariental.
It is alleged that the man raped the woman, who was under the influence of alcohol, at her house in Aimablaagte. The suspect has not been arrested.
