The My Zone team asked members of the Children’s Parliament what Sustainable Development Goals they are passionate about and why the goals are important.

Goal 13: Climate Action - This is an important goal for me as the planet we are living on is suffering because of us, and if we don't take action, we will also start to suffer. Let’s work together to prevent suffering for not just humans but for our planet too by starting to recycle.
Cleric Tembwe - Goal 9: Innovation and Infrastructure:
Innovation sets a standard to the world we as young people are moving into. It makes life easier for as. Covid-19 has shown us that we need to innovate and make life as easy as possible. Concepts like working from home would help people with disabilities.
Hope Kaizemi
- Goal 5: Gender Equality
A world where everyone is equal regardless of sex best sets women and men up for success. Achieving gender equality by 2030 would be great for the world. Women have also been seen as inferior to men back in the day but in the 21st century, we are all equal.
Wayne Mckay
- Goal 8: Good jobs and economic growth
A zero-youth unemployment rate is mammoth. By encouraging good jobs and economic growth, we set young people, nations and the world best up for prosperity.
Saara Edwards
- Goal 4: Quality Education
The standard of education needs to be based on what best sets up children for the future. As such, improving the quality of education will set children up for success. Goal 4 is a personal favourite.

For children to live long lives, we first have to ensure they are healthy. We need to ensure that every child has a good mental, physical and emotional health status. The health of children should come first.
