Swakopmund Megasave wins best OK Franchise

Megasave Swakopmund recently walked away with the title of 'Franchise of the Year' at the OK Franchising Division's annual conference. Held in Beijing last month, the annual awards ceremony honoured loyal and dedicate franchises of the retail group with lifetime achievement awards, and crowned the top-performing stores in four categories. It was in the Megasave category where Megasave Swakopmund owners Paulo and Raquel Coimbra were named as the best outlet. “It is a great honour for my wife and me, as well as our staff to achieve such merit from the OK Franchise Division. It's great to know that all our hard work has paid off,” Paulo Coimbra said in retrospect. “We will keep doing our best to stay ahead of the curve. We promise to keep delivering great customer service, excellent team work and low prices,” he added. In order to qualify for the in-house accolade, OK franchises had to excel in a list of criteria, with judges looking at aspects such as growth, general store standards, customer service, staff motivation, community involvement, administrative excellence and loyalty. In a statement issued on behalf of OK Franchise Division, the retailer commended the Namibian store for paying attention to “the overall picture”. “Megasave Swakopmund is truly an example of what wholesale excellence is all about. The team has shown that they are serious about their customers' service and shopping experience, community and store appearance, as well as proving that they are dedicated to excellence in every aspect of their business,” the company statement reads.
