Step up and out in style
Reinhard Mahalie will be touring Namibia and giving style tricks and hacks for the next two months.
We've all walked into a clothing shop or boutique with no idea of what we are looking for to wear at a certain event and it is frustrating. Now, imagine experiencing the same thing but this time, the boutique you walk in has a stylist who can help you put an outfit together and get this - for free. Yes, this is a two-month offer made possible by award-winning stylist Reinhard Mahalie. Mahalie will be embarking on a journey to ensure that everyone looks and feels great this festive season, be it for Christmas dinner, a beach vacation or a wedding ceremony.
The Reinhard Mahalie National Style Tour is the first of its kind in Namibia. Mahalie says the aim of the tour is intended to educate people on the essentials of style and to give back to his supporters. “This tour will specifically emphasise that a stylist's services are not reserved for celebrities or for big gigs but are for ordinary shoppers too. Shoppers will be educated on the basics of wardrobe construction, personal style and image. Image-conscious individuals can benefit greatly from this service. Looking great doesn't always mean buying the whole outfit, it also means being able to pair what you have at home and this is what I will be helping people realise… and all for free,” said Mahalie.
The tour will be taking place in Swakopmund, Windhoek and Keetmanshoop every Saturday for the whole day starting off at My Republik in Windhoek tomorrow. Mahalie plans on making the tour an annual event and to help ensure that people look the part. “I want to cater for each and every Namibian to help them look and feel good and I hope that they all walk away with something new. Styling is a new career and I want it to be recognised. The dream is to grow the tour and for it to go on an African scale, said Mahalie.
