The Namibia Tourism Expo - Experience Africa, 10º South has a spectacular line-up of comedians, with veteran funny man Slick eager to bring some comic relief.

tjil caught up with him on what to expect from his set.

tjil (t): Thank you for granting us this interview opportunity, but before we get to the serious questions, how are you doing?

Slick (S): I am doing fantastic; I just came out of celebrating my birthday, looking forward to yet another year.

t: The Namibia Tourism Expo is right around the corner and you are one of the comedians on the line-up, what can attendees look forward to from your set? What themes will you explore this time around?

S: I will be talking travel and exploration in and around our country, and why I don’t really like camping and wildlife.

t: The expo is about bringing two industries together. In your opinion, how can these industries work together to benefit creatives, especially with the new normal brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

S: One can use entertainment to add color to Namibian stories and history through dance, song, theatre and comedy. It enhances the experience and artists can tailor their work for specific areas, lodges and safari trips.

t: What events do you have in the pipeline? Where can people catch you after the expo?

S: We are currently doing a TV series for The Smart Cut; it can be found on the FreeYourMind Facebook page. I will also be hosting a one-man show mid-November at Chicagos. Lastly, we are currently working on the FreeYourMind TV show.
